Who We Are
Due to the growing demand for quality baseball and softball instruction in the Chicago-land area, former professional baseball players Chris Pack and Erik Lis founded Baseball Institute in 2012 after fruitful careers in the Diamondbacks and Twins organizations. Pack and Lis started Baseball Institute at the Quarry Fieldhouse in Romeoville with the intention of spreading their knowledge and love for the game. More importantly, they established it to allow players to experience the moral and social value of the game of baseball; educational values are the stepping-stones to our organizational goals.
The goal is to build the most complete student-athlete both on and off the field by maintaining world-class instruction, state of the art facilities, and provide a superior educational experience. But, relationships always come first; Baseball Institute provides all youth with a positive experience with a role model at every lesson or camp for them to learn how to be a better person on and off the field. Ultimately, the goal is to give all youth ball players an opportunity to become superior on and off the field. We take pride in our ability to create and execute exciting, skill-building programs. We are driven to provide all youth with the best and most inclusive opportunity to experience the highest level of instruction available. |
Where We Are
The Quarry Field House offers a 30,000-square foot facility and 30’ ceilings. It breaks down into a 110’ by 170’ field with four batting cages and four multi-purpose pitching/hitting tunnels with enough space to accommodate a full high school/college mound distance. Additionally, there is a 2700-square foot facility, separate from the main field house that is also used for additional instruction as well as speed and agility classes, with a weight training area as well.
