What will your athlete be doing during our classes?
Each long toss class will be a 60 minute class designed to help all positions improve arm strength, increase throwing velocity, improve durability, and add confidence. Long Toss is instrumental in development of a strong, healthy arm. In order to do that, our Long Toss class will teach the two phases of long toss - extension and compression. As the athlete moves farther away from their partner, arm strength is developed as the body is pushed passed its usual limits. Then, when they begin to come back together, the compression phase begins where both partners throw the ball on a line as hard as they can to develop arm speed and accuracy.
What results can your athlete expect from this class?
You can expect that your son will strengthen his arm, increase velocity, and learn the proper throwing mechanics in order to ensure durability throughout his playing career. Many players, position or pitcher, leave MPH on the table and cause catastrophic injury to their arms simply because they are not throwing properly or taking care of their arm in the way that they should.
The good news is that the risk of these types of catastrophic injuries can be significantly reduced with the proper training techniques that the athlete will learn during our Long Toss Program.
